Data Privacy Policy
Last updated:
This Data Privacy Policy explains how CarInterval, developed and operated by Dzianis Kuziomkin (“we”, “us”, or “our”), handles information in the mobile application (the “App”) and this website.
The App and the website have different data flows. This website introduces the App and displays illustrative vehicle data; it does not let you submit vehicle details, register an account, or save maintenance records.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Information You Provide in the App
The App stores vehicle information you select or enter, such as make, model, year, engine, vehicle nickname, odometer readings, display units, and service conditions. It also stores maintenance items, completion dates, service mileage, notes, and reminder preferences.
Avoid including unnecessary personal information in vehicle nicknames or free-text notes. The current App does not require you to register an email account for basic use.
1.2 Anonymous Sessions and Technical Information
The App uses an anonymous Supabase authentication session. A generated user identifier and session credentials allow backend requests and backups to be associated with the same app identity. This is a pseudonymous service identity; it is not a promise that all data is unidentifiable.
When the App communicates with backend services, those services receive information needed to handle requests, such as your network address, requested resource, and authentication information. Website hosting and font requests also involve technical information, as explained below.
1.3 Support Requests
If you email us, we receive your email address, message, and any attachments or other information you choose to provide. We use this information to respond and resolve your request. Do not send passwords or authentication tokens.
2. Storage, Backups, and Third-Party Services
2.1 Device Storage and Notifications
Vehicle and maintenance records are stored locally on your device. App session credentials are stored using platform secure storage. Reminder preferences may be used to schedule local notifications, subject to your device permissions and settings.
2.2 Supabase and Backend Services
The App uses Supabase for anonymous authentication and attempts to synchronize vehicle records, maintenance history, and reminder preferences to a cloud backup associated with the generated user identifier. Network requests are also used to retrieve vehicle and catalog information.
Backup and restoration depend on backend configuration, connectivity, and the service identity retained on your device. Your local records are the immediate source of truth; a failed backup does not guarantee that a cloud copy exists. The hosting and infrastructure providers process information necessary to supply their services. See Supabase’s Privacy Policy.
2.3 Website Hosting and Fonts
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages. GitHub processes technical information associated with website requests, including IP addresses and request information, under its Privacy Statement.
The website requests fonts from Google Fonts. Your browser connects to Google’s servers to download those fonts, which means Google receives your IP address and request information. See Google Fonts privacy information and Google’s Privacy Policy.
3. Analytics, Cookies, and Payments
The current website does not include analytics, advertising trackers, registration forms, or payment forms. Its own JavaScript does not set cookies or store visitor data in browser storage. Hosting and font providers handle their requests under their own policies.
The current App implementation does not include Firebase Analytics or an advertising analytics SDK.
If you make a purchase through an app store, payment processing is handled by that store under its privacy policy. This website does not collect credit card details.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- Organize vehicle profiles, maintenance records, and reminders.
- Authenticate backend requests and associate backups with the appropriate app identity.
- Retrieve vehicle information and support backup or restoration where available.
- Deliver and secure the website and App services.
- Respond to support and privacy requests and meet applicable legal obligations.
Where applicable data-protection law requires a legal basis, processing depends on the purpose: providing the requested services, our legitimate interests in operating and securing them and responding to requests, complying with legal obligations, or consent where required. We do not sell personal information.
5. Data Retention
Local records remain on your device until they are removed or the relevant app data is cleared. Cloud records and service identifiers may remain after uninstalling the App. In particular, secure session information may persist or be restored by your operating system, allowing an existing backup to be associated with the same device identity.
We retain support information and service data only as needed for their stated purposes and applicable legal obligations. Infrastructure providers may retain operational logs and backups according to their policies. We do not promise a fixed deletion period for data held by independent providers.
6. Data Sharing
Information may be processed by the service providers needed for authentication, backend hosting, cloud backups, website hosting, fonts, and support communications. We may disclose information when required by law, to respond to lawful requests, or to protect the services and users.
We do not sell information or share it for advertising purposes. Providers may process data in countries other than your own; their policies describe their handling of international transfers.
7. Data Security
We use platform secure storage for app session credentials and take reasonable measures to protect service data. However, no storage system, transmission method, or backup process is completely secure or immune to failure. Keep independent copies of important maintenance records.
8. Children’s Privacy
CarInterval is intended for people managing vehicle maintenance, not for children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can investigate and address it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of personal information, restrict processing, or object to certain processing. Where processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it. You may also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Contact support@oilfinderpro.com to make a request. We may need information to identify the relevant app data and verify the request. Because the current App uses an anonymous identity rather than an email account, an email address alone may not identify your records.
10. Data Deletion
Removing a vehicle in the App removes its local record and attempts to remove the corresponding cloud backup. Cloud deletion depends on connectivity and service availability; uninstalling the App alone should not be treated as confirmation that all cloud records or authentication data have been deleted.
To request deletion of associated cloud records or the service identity, contact support@oilfinderpro.com and state that your request concerns CarInterval. We will help identify the relevant data and handle the request under applicable law, subject to any necessary legal retention. Do not send session credentials or tokens.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy when data practices or services change. The current version and update date are shown on this page. Additional notice will be provided where required by applicable law.
